And it’s a no-brainer – shopping online is fast, easy and convenient.<br /><br />However, there are a few things to bear in mind when surfing the internet. Here are some tips to make sure it’s a successful venture:<br /><br /><b>Know your size</b><br /><br />This is a tricky one because lots of stores have different sizing measurements. It helps if you shop via the online retailer of a brand you’ve bought clothes from before, so you know what size to choose. If you aren’t sure, or are shopping somewhere new, take your own measurements so you know exactly what size you are, according to the specific retailer in question. <br /><br /><b>Check the returns policy</b><br /><br />Purchases can often look very different in the flesh than they do in a photo, so make sure you can return the goods. <br /><br /><b>Collect when you want</b><br /><br />If you work during the day or don’t have anywhere for the delivery person to leave your purchases, consider choosing the increasingly-popular <a href="http://www.isme.com/web/en/collect-plus.page" target="_blank">Collect Plus option</a>. This allows you to collect your delivery from a pre-arranged store that will hold it for you until it’s convenient for you to pick it up (usually around ten days). Collect Plus will also allow you to return goods for free, and will send you a text or email to let you know when the goods are ready. It is important that you are careful when buying electronic goods online and that you only shop with a reputable retailer to avoid buying faulty products. <br /><br /><b>Shop for food online</b><br /><br />Food shopping is increasingly popular online, and especially good if you don’t have a car or live near a big supermarket. Just be careful when buying fresh produce like fruit and veg. It often pays to be able to feel and see these goods for yourself, so you don’t end up with a tray full of overripe groceries. <br /><br /><b>Be secure</b><br /><br />Security is the big issue with online shopping, and it’s crucial to be careful. You can minimise your risk of fraud by using reputable and well-known online brands. These websites have stringent security processes in place, and similar returns and refund policies to major high street stores. If you’re spending a lot of money on a product then use a credit card for extra security. Large purchases are typically protected by credit card companies. </div>
